The Cube is creating a closer, stronger, and safer community throughout the Southern Tier. The Cube serves to enrich the community by offering a social space, with educational components, that is inviting, accepting, and socially vibrant. This space is designed to serve gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men in several local counties. Staff members will seek to mobilize this community, inspire them to join together in a common bond, and empower them by offering programming that focuses on needs and interests.
The Cube is peer led and activities are designed to promote safer sex in a fun, uplifting and sex-positive way. Cube activities are based on the Mpowerment Project intervention.
One of the most exciting aspects of The Cube is the unique Community Space. This is a ‘Safe Space’ where everyone is welcome, privacy and confidentiality can be maintained, and HIV and STI prevention education will be provided. The Community Space also serves as a gathering place where social networks can be formed.
