The co-epidemic of Hepatitis C (HCV) has challenged our ability to meet the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. Many of the individuals we serve are co-infected with both HIV and HCV and find it difficult to find the support and information that they need to preserve their health and prevent disease progression. The HIV/HCV Awareness Program was developed to close this gap by offering one-on-one assessment to examine barriers to care and to provide referral and support before, during and after treatment. This support includes assistance with nutritional supplements, transportation, a newsletter and a monthly support group. We also offer limited services to people infected with only HCV.
